Abstract:
Provided is an occupant sensing device which accurately detects the state of an occupant regardless of the influence of extraneous noise, outside light, and the like and the influence of a defect in detected data when lighting of auxiliary light is delayed, and the like. When a specific part detection possibility/impossibility determination unit (24) determines that the detection of the position of a specific part such as a head (56) in the latest image is impossible, on the basis of past data stored as data corresponding to images outputted from a camera (14) earlier than the latest image in a storage unit (22), the position of the head (56) is predicted and detected.
