Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to an optical fiber cable (1) comprising: a plurality of optical fiber core wires (3); a cable sheath (5) that covers the plurality of optical fiber core wires (3); and a plurality of tension member groups (6a-6d) embedded in the cable sheath (5). In the optical fiber cable (1): the plurality of tension member groups (6a-6d) each include a plurality of tension members (4); the plurality of tension members (4) are not in contact with each other; the plurality of tension member groups (6a-6d) are arranged, along the circumferential direction of the cable sheath (5), in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the optical fiber cable (1); and adjacent tension member groups of the plurality of tension member groups (6a-6d) are separated from each other.
