Abstract:
The present application provides an optical phased-array antenna and a manufacturing method therefor. The optical phased-array antenna comprises, from bottom to top, a substrate layer (10), a buried layer (20), and a top layer, overlappingly disposed; and a grating structure (50). The top layer has formed a waveguide structure layer (30), the grating structure (50) comprises an upper grating (501) and a lower grating (502), the upper grating (501) and the lower grating (502) being located at an upper side and a lower side of the waveguide structure layer (30), respectively, the upper grating (501) and the lower grating (502) cooperating to form a resonant structure, and the grating structure (50) being used to couple light from the waveguide structure layer (30) and selectively output the light directed upward or downward. In to the optical phased-array antenna provided in the present application, the grating structure (50) is capable of coupling light from the waveguide structure layer (30) and selectively outputting the light directed upward or downward, so that conventional diverging output is changed, radiation efficiency of the antenna is greatly improved, energy utilization is increased, a DBR reflector or a metal reflector does not need to be added between the grating structure (50) and the substrate layer (10), process difficulty is reduced, and antenna manufacturing costs are reduced.
