Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide an organic electroluminescence element that has high fluorescence quantum yield, and also to provide a fluorescent light-emitting compound used in the organic electroluminescence element, a light-emitting thin film containing the fluorescent light-emitting compound, and a display device and an illumination device equipped with the organic electroluminescence element or the light-emitting thin film. The organic electroluminescence element has an organic layer that includes at least one light-emitting layer between a cathode and an anode. The organic electroluminescence element is characterized in that the at least one light-emitting layer has a specified structure and contains a π conjugated compound for which the absolute value (ΔEst) of the energy difference between the minimum excited singlet state and the minimum excited triplet state is 0.5 eV or lower.
