Abstract:
An organic electroluminescent display and a method for manufacturing the organic electroluminescent display. The organic electroluminescent display comprises a substrate (12), a light-transmitting electrode (14) formed on the substrate (12), a film-forming function layer (16) formed on the substrate (12) and containing a hole-transporting material and an electron-transporting material, trench patterns (18a, 18b) formed on the function layer (16), a dopant (Do) with which the function layer (16) between walls which constitute the trench patterns is doped, and a light-reflecting electrode (20) covering the trench patterns (18a, 18b). The dopant (Do) is introduced into the trench patterns (18a, 18b) by the capillary action, and makes a high-definition color patterning possible. A method for manufacturing the above-described organic electro-luminescent display is also disclosed.
