Abstract:

A painted metal plate and other painted plates having a citron-skin painted appearance and being excellent in workability and scratch resistance, and its convenient production method. The painted plate has an average center line (Wca) of filtered waviness on the outermost surface of a coating in the range of 0.35μm≤Wca≤1.25μm, and an average crest interval (Wc-sm) of filtered waviness in the range of 2800μm≤Wc-sm≤12500μm, wherein the boundary surface between the topmost coating and its underlying coating has a wave structure. Preferably, the curve W of a waveform appearing when the boundary surface between the topmost coating and its underlying coating is observed on the cross-section in the thickness direction of coating satisfies conditions that (1) the curve includes a large wave defined to have a region of A≤0.8B assuming the distance between the outermost surface S of a coating and the waveform curve W of the boundary surface is A, and the average thickness of the topmost coating is B, and (2) the average distance between large waves is 750μm or less.
