Abstract:
A pants-type disposable diaper (1) with a removable absorbent pad (100), the diaper (1) including an absorbent body (10), a pair of leak prevention walls (50), and an outer layer sheet (30). Each of the leak prevention walls (50) has a connecting portion (61) in a position in which the outer layer sheet (30) has the smallest lateral length in a longitudinal direction. The sum of the lateral width of the absorbent body (10) and twice the distance between a lateral edge of the absorbent body (10) and the connecting portion (61) in the position in which the outer layer sheet (30) has the smallest lateral length when the absorbent body (10) and the leak prevention walls (50) are extended laterally is greater than the sum of the lateral width of the absorbent pad (100) and twice the thickness of the absorbent pad (100) in the position in which the outer layer sheet (30) has the smallest lateral length when the absorbent pad (100) is extended laterally. When the absorbent pad (100) is inserted inside the diaper (1), the space between lateral inner edges of the connecting portions (61) has a portion that is narrower than the lateral width of the absorbent pad (100).
