Abstract:
A paper processing device consuming a reduced power thanks to shortening of the
electrifying time of the electromagnetic lock of the door by unlocking a paper
stacking device cover when the door is closed and indicating the permission of
the access to the paper stacking device and a method of electromagnetically locking
the paper stacking device are provided. When the state that a paper stacking part
is unlocked occurs and the opening of the door is detected (Y in S2), the electromagnetic
lock is held in an unlocked state (S3) to turn on a cover opening/closing permission
indication lamp (S4). When the closing of the door is detected by a door detector
(Y in S5) after the operation by the operator is completed, the electromagnetic
lock of the paper stacking device is released to turn off the lamp (S7). The unlocked
state is held without energizing the solenoid. When the opening of the door is
detected (Y in S9) while the state that the paper stacking part is locked occurs
(Y in S8), the electromagnetic lock is set (S10) to turn off the lamp (S11). When
the closing of the door is detected after the operation is completed, the electromagnetic
lock is released to turn off the lamp.
