Abstract:
Provided is a PDA which can prevent erroneous input in situations wherein conventional PDAs cannot prevent erroneous input. Two proximity sensors (110) are provided on the front surface (102) of a PDA (100). Both proximity sensors (110) are separated from each other by at least the distance of one operation key (105), and are each disposed in the vicinity of some of a plurality of operation keys (105). The PDA (100) uses both proximity sensors (110) to inhibit the implementation of processes corresponding to key operations in a mode for detecting a state where an object to be sensed such as a body or the like is nearby. As a result, erroneous input on the operation keys (105) caused by contact with hands or the face can be prevented.
