Abstract:
Provided is a high-performance permanent magnet. This permanent magnet is provided with: a composition expressed by the composition formula RpFeqMrCutCo100-p-q-r-t; and a metal structure that includes cell phases having a Th2Zn17-type crystal phase, and a Cu-rich phase provided so as to separate the cell phases, the Cu-rich phase having a Cu concentration that is higher than that of the Th2Zn17-type crystal phase. The Fe concentration in the Th2Zn17-type crystal phase is 30-45 at.%. The average length of the Cu-rich phase is 30-250 nm.
