Abstract:
Provided is a high-performance permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is represented by a composition formula: RpFeqMrCutCo100-p-q-r-t. The permanent magnet includes a sintered body provided with: crystal grains having a Th2Zn17 type crystal phase; and a crystal grain boundary of the crystal grains. In the sintered body, when a continuous region in which the concentration of element R and oxygen is 85 atom% or higher is taken as one oxide phase of element R, the ratio of the number of oxide phases existing in the crystal grain boundary to the number of crystal grains is 1.1 or lower.
