Abstract:
Phase difference film consisting of one sheet of polymer oriented film, characterized in that phase differences at wavelengths of 450 nm and 550 nm satisfy the following formulae (1) and/or (2) and an absorptance is up to 1 wt.%: R(450)/R(550) $m(f) 1 (1), K(450)/K(550) $m(f) 1 (2), Wherein R(450) and R(550) in the formula are respectively in-plane phase differences at wavelengths of 450 nm and 550 nm, and K(450) and K(550) are values calculated by the equation K=[n¿z?-(n¿x? + n¿y?)/2] x d of polymer oriented film at respective wavelengths of 450 nm and 550 nm (n¿x?, n¿y?, n¿z? form a three-dimensional refractive index of polymer oriented film and are respectively x-axis, y-axis, z-axis direction refractive indexes, and d is a film thickness). Laminated phase difference film and a liquid crystal device using the phase difference film.
