Abstract:
A light emitting element (ES) according to the present invention comprises an anode (22), a light emitting layer (43), an electron transport layer (44), and a cathode (25), in this order. The electron transport layer (44) has particles (50) and organic ligands (52). The shortest distance (D1) between the light emitting layer (43) and the particles (50) included in a first end section region (46), which is on the side of the electron transport layer (44) that is close to the light emitting layer (43), is greater than the shortest distance (D2) between the cathode (25) and the particles (50) included in a second end section region (47), which is on the side of the electron transport layer (44) that is close to the cathode (25).
