Abstract:
The invention relates to a photovoltaic device for directly converting electromagnetic radiation into electric power, and to the use of the photovoltaic device. According to the invention, the photovoltaic device for directly converting electromagnetic radiation into electric power contains at least one light trap which is made of a transparent material having a higher refractive index than air. The photovoltaic device according to the invention also contains at least one solar cell which is disposed directly on or optically coupled to at least one prism surface.
