Abstract:
Provided is a further improved pipe connecting device in which the seal part between the base portion of an inner ring and a pipe fitting main body functions excellently, and which avoids overcontractional deformations of the inner ring leading edge. This pipe connecting device comprises a pipe fitting main body (1), a union nut (2), and an inner ring (3) which is press-fitted into a tube end, wherein a seal element part (y) is formed on the base end of the inner ring (3), and a seal forming part (k) is formed on the pipe fitting main body (1). The configuration of this pipe connecting device is such that, in an assembled state, the seal element part (y) and the seal forming part (k) are pressed together, and a cylindrical screw part (1A) and a contracted tube part (4c) of the tube end (4C) that is externally fitted onto a tapered contracted outer peripheral surface (3c) are either pressed together with a contact pressure lower than the contact pressure between the seal element part (y) and the seal forming part (k), or separated from each other.
