The robotic arm (116) is plug-and-play compatible with a coupling interface of the systems (100). The methods and systems (100) include determining instruction operations and control parameters associated with controlling the robotic arm (116) based on the one or more properties. The methods and systems (100) include controlling the robotic arm (116) in association with a surgical procedure based on the instruction operations and control parameters. The methods and systems (100) include removably coupling the robotic arm (116) to a support structure (154,155), with or without an extension member (140).
