Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire which suppresses either or both of a decrease in steering stability and a decrease in resistance against side cuts, without increasing the weight of the tire, and which can reduce cavity resonance. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that the aspect ratio (AS) is no higher than 55%, short fibers are fixed to a region of the inner peripheral tire surface which includes, in at least a portion thereof, the positions of the inner peripheral tire surface corresponding to the maximum sidewall width positions, and the tire thickness at the maximum sidewall width positions, with respect to the relationship between the bead core width (BW) and the aspect ratio (AS), is no larger than BW×(1-AS).
