Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire which is provided with a belt reinforcement layer that comprises an organic fiber cord, and which makes it possible to improve steering stability during normal traveling and during race track traveling, while also maintaining durability. A two-layer belt layer 7 disposed on the outer circumferential side of a carcass layer in a tread part is constituted with a single wire having a wire diameter of 0.30-0.45 mm. A belt reinforcement layer 8 disposed on the outer circumferential side of the belt layer 7 is constituted with an organic fiber cord which is constituted from polyethylene terephthalate fibers and in which intermediate elongation under a load of 2.0 cN/dtex is 2.0%-4.0%. The ends Ec of the belt reinforcement layer 8 in the tire width direction are each disposed between a respective end Eb1 of an inner belt layer 7A in the tire width direction and a respective end Eb2 of an outer belt layer 7B in the tire width direction.
