Abstract:
A point cloud file transmission method and apparatus, a device, a storage medium, and a program product, relating to the technical field of point cloud applications. The method comprises: acquiring a point cloud file and expansion information corresponding to the point cloud file (401), the point cloud file being a file containing point cloud data, the expansion information being information for providing support to a target service, and the target service being a service implemented by means of the point cloud data; and transmitting the associated point cloud file and expansion information to a receiving terminal device (402), such that the receiving terminal device executes the target service on the basis of the expansion information. The present solution can implement services that require information other than point cloud data, thereby expanding the application scenario of services based on point cloud data.
