Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a polarization plate having excellent durability, whereof a drop in transmittance under a high-temperature environment is small even when used in an image display device having a constitution comprising an interlayer filler, and a production method therefor, and further, to provide a durable image display device having improved display properties under a high-temperature environment. The present invention provides a polarization plate comprising a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin polarization film yielded by the absorption and orientation of iodine a protection film formed on at least one of the surfaces of the polarization film, characterized in that the polarization film contains at least one type of urea-based compound selected from the group consisting of urea, a urea derivative, thiourea, and a thiourea derivative.
