Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrospun polymeric nanofiber. The nanofiber includes a poly (chlorotrifluoroethylene-co-vinylidenefluoride) ( "poly (CTFE-co-VDF) " ) copolymer. Further disclosed is a method for manufacturing a polymeric nanofiber. The method includes the step of preparing or providing a polymeric emulsion. The polymeric emulsion includes a poly (CTFE-co-VDF) copolymer and a ketone-based solvent. The method further includes the step of electrospinning the polymeric emulsion to form the polymeric nanofiber using an electrospinning apparatus. Products made from the polymeric nanofibers are also disclosed.
