Abstract:
Disclosed are a polypeptide having a cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection function, a preparation method for the polypeptide, and an application of the polypeptide. The amino acid sequence of the polypeptide having a cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection function is shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. Also disclosed is an application of the polypeptide as a medicinal component in preparing a drug which treats cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease or as a healthcare component in preparing a cardiovascular and cerebrovascular healthcare product. The polypeptide compound, which is extracted from Neptunea arthritica cumingii and contains eight amino acid residues, has been found to clear ROS in the body, and inhibit the production of angiotensin-converting enzyme and renin in blood vessels. The polypeptide compound has significant antihypertensive activity, may be used for the development of drugs which treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular healthcare products, and has broad market prospects.
