Abstract:
The present invention relates to polysiloxane powder having no irritant odor during heating. The polysiloxane powder comprises at least T units of R1SiO3 and no SiOR2, R1 and R2 being hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The present invention also relates to a preparation method for the polysiloxane powder, comprising: providing an aqueous solution of a hydrocarbyl alkali metal silicate; and adding an acid or an alkali, and finally adjusting the pH of the aqueous solution to 7-13, so that hydroxyl groups of silicic acid are condensed, or adding a hydrocarbyl trichlorosilane into water to generate a polysiloxane precipitate, and breaking up the polysiloxane precipitate to obtain polysiloxane powder. The polysiloxane powder according to the present invention does not generate irritant odor when heated to 300 degrees or more in air, and thus can be heated and dried at 300 degrees or more.
