Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of stacking, and provide a port setting method, device, and system, resolving the problem of service interruption of a stacking system due to that a data packet is discarded during software upgrading. The method comprises: a first member device enables upstream and downstream ports during a software upgrading process; determine whether the upgrading is completed, and if not, send first indication messages to a first network device and a second network device by means of the upstream and downstream ports respectively, each first indication message being used for indicating that the port for the sending of the first indication message is in an initial state; respectively receive, by means of the upstream and downstream ports, first response messages sent by the first network device and the second network device upon receiving the corresponding first indication messages, each first response message being used for indicating the state of the port for the sending of the first response message; set the upstream and downstream ports to be in a selected state when the ports indicated by the first response messages are both in a selected state and the upgrading has completed.
