Abstract:
Provided by the present application are a position detection method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of communications, capable of determining the position of a decision signal, where a burst error begins, in a sequence of decision signals, helping to eliminate errors at the beginnings of burst errors. The method comprises: a position detection apparatus obtaining the position of a decision signal, where a burst error ends, in a sequence of decision signals of a decision feedback equalizer (DFE), and obtaining a first target value corresponding to a first signal position in the decision signal sequence, the first signal position being the position of at least one decision signal before the decision signal of the end of the burst error. The first target value comprises at least one of the following: a symbol value of the decision signal at the first signal position, a first equalization value corresponding to the first signal position, or a first difference corresponding to the first signal position. Then, according to the first target value, the position detection apparatus determines the position of the decision signal, where the burst error begins, in the sequence of decision signals.
