Abstract:
The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery. Lithium transition metal oxide comprises two or more transition metals selected from a group consisting of nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co) and manganese (Mn). 60 mol% or higher of nickel (Ni) is contained in the total transition metals contained in the lithium transition metal oxide. At least one of nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co) and manganese (Mn) contained in the lithium transition metal oxide has a concentration gradient in which the difference in concentration between the center and the particle surface of lithium transition metal oxide particles is 2 atom% or higher. The lithium transition metal oxide contains one or more doping elements selected from a group consisting of W, Mo, Ta, Nb, La and Bi. 2,000ppm or higher of the doping elements are contained.
