Abstract:
The present application provides a positive electrode additive, a preparation method therefor, a use thereof, a secondary battery, and a terminal device. The positive electrode additive comprises secondary particles, the secondary particles comprising at least two types of primary particle, and of the primary particles, at least one type of primary particle is an alkali metal-rich material, and at least one type of primary particle is an electron conducting agent. In the molecular formula of the alkali metal-rich material, the molecular weight of the alkali metal element accounts 10% or more of the total molecular weight of the alkali metal-rich material, and a gap between adjacent primary particles is less than or equal to 500 nm. By using the present positive electrode additive, the cycle life and energy density of a secondary battery can be improved, and cycle expansion of a battery cell can be alleviated.
