Abstract:
A power conversion apparatus (3) is equipped with: a first converter (4) which converts between the DC power of a vehicle drive storage battery (2) and the AC power of a commercial system (14); a backup storage battery (13); a second converter (12) which converts the DC power of the backup storage battery (13) and generates backup AC power to be supplied to a specific load (9); a switch (8) which selects either the AC power or the backup AC power and outputs the selected power to an external load; a voltage sensor (6) which measures the voltage value of the AC power; and a control circuit (7) which controls the switch (8) on the basis of the measurement value of the voltage sensor (6). The control circuit (7) controls the switch (8) so that the backup AC power is supplied to the specific load (9), when the measurement value is less than a reference voltage.
