Abstract:
This power transmitting system (1, 2) is provided with a power transmitting apparatus (11, 12, 13) having a power transmitting coil (101), and a power receiving apparatus (21, 22) having a power receiving coil (201) that is disposed by being spaced apart from the power transmitting coil, and power is transmitted/received in a non-contact manner to and from the power transmitting coil and the power receiving coil. The power transmitting system is provided with: a foreign material detecting means (106, 206), which detects a foreign material positioned at the periphery of the power transmitting coil and the power receiving coil, and which detects the relative position of the detected foreign material with respect to the power transmitting coil or the power receiving coil; and a power control means (104), which controls the power transmitting apparatus corresponding to the detected relative position so as to control the power to be transmitted/received.
