Abstract:

In order to manage entry and exit of a train in a building on a rail yard, and in order to achieve reliable and safe train management, when there is a train 2 entering into the building in a rail yard 30, this ground-side device 500 stores and manages unit car IDs of each unit car 20 of the train 2 in order of entry, first-in, last-out. Further, if there is a train 2 exiting the building, the unit car IDs are read out sequentially, first-in, last-out, queries are transmitted addressed to the unit car IDs in order of read-out, and train information is acquired from the on-board devices 200 of each unit car configuring the train 2. Prescribed warning output control is performed if the on-board devices 200 fail to respond to the queries and acquisition of train information fails.
