Disclosed is a process for producing a sheet of finely fibrous cellulose, the process comprising a dispersion step in which finely fibrous cellulose is dispersed in water, a sheet formation step in which the dispersion obtained in the dispersion step is dehydrated by filtering the dispersion through a porous substrate to form a sheet containing water, an organic-solvent treatment step in which the water-containing sheet is coated with an organic solvent to form a sheet containing water and the organic solvent, and a drying step in which the sheet containing water and the organic solvent is dried, wherein the organic solvent to be used in the treatment step has a boiling point of 120-260ºC and is soluble in water. Also provided is a composite of finely fibrous cellulose, the composite being obtained by infiltrating a resin into the sheet of finely fibrous cellulose obtained by the process. With the process for producing a sheet of finely fibrous cellulose, finely fibrous cellulose is efficiently converted to a porous sheet.
