Abstract:
Provided is a projection display device which is safe even when a human directly observes a laser beam. When a numerical aperture (B) on an image side in an illumination optics is set, a laser drive control section sets output power of at least one laser light source so that an intensity (A) (mW/mm2) of a laser beam on at least one spatial light modulating element satisfies an inequality of A<686×B2.
