Abstract:
A projection system that, in order to safely project desired projection images in an arbitrary projection area, comprises: a projection device that projects, in the projection area, light that forms display information; an imaging device that captures images of a region that includes the projection area; and a control device that performs control that makes the projection device project light and control that makes the imaging device capture images of the projection area. The control device has an analysis circuit and a safety control circuit. The analysis circuit accumulates image information for the projection area captured by the imaging device and detects abnormalities in the projection area by comparing any one piece of the accumulated image information for the projection area with the image information for the projection most recently captured by the imaging device. When an abnormality in the projection area has been detected by the analysis circuit, the safety control circuit performs safety control that modifies projection conditions for the projection device.
