Abstract:
This protective device, which is fitted to a human body and is for protecting at least the head of the human body, includes: a base part that can be fitted to the human body; a protective part held on the base part and having a honeycomb structure or a bellows structure that can reversibly switch between a folded orientation that is folded and a deployed orientation that is deployed from the folded orientation so as to cover the head of the human body; and in the protective part, a fixed end fixed to the base part, and a free end not fixed to the base part. In the folded orientation, the free end is folded in an orientation approaching the fixed end, and when switching from the folded orientation to the deployed orientation, the free end separates from the fixed end while the protective part is deployed around the head. The foregoing provides a protective device that protects the head of the human body by using a protective part that can reversibly switch between the folded orientation and the deployed orientation.
