Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a protector for a heat-sensitive breakable section of a sprinkler head which is detachably mounted on a sprinkler head to protect a heat-sensitive body thereof, is less likely to be precarious once installed, and prevents the heat-sensitive body from contacting the protector. [Solution] This protector 10 is designed for use in a sprinkler head S having a main body 1 with a nozzle 1A, a plurality of frame arms 2 extending from the main body 1 in the direction whereto the nozzle 1A discharges water, and a heat-sensitive body provided between the plurality of frame arms 2. The protector 10 has: an opening 19 which allows a heat-sensitive breakable section including the heat-sensitive body to be inserted into the interior of the protector; a base face 11 opposite the opening 19; a side face 12 extending from the base face 11 toward the opening 19 and passing through the vicinity of the frame arms 2; and a support part 13 provided on the side face 12 and proximally located opposite the frame arms 2. A plurality of columnar posts 14 are proximally disposed to the frame arms 2 inside the side face 12.
