Abstract:
 Provided are a PRSV-resistant cucumber and a method for producing the same. This PRSV-resistant cucumber has a PRSV resistance gene locus on the 6th chromosome, and the PRSV resistance gene locus has the amino acid sequence in SEQ ID No. 1. A cucumber variant exhibiting resistance to PRSV and ZYMV can be obtained by crossing the PRSV-resistant cucumber with a ZYMV-resistant cucumber. Thus, the PRSV-resistant cucumber can largely reduce decreases in yield and economic and labor-related losses due to increases in the use of pesticides because of infection by PRSV and/or ZYMV.
