Abstract:
A pulse tube refrigerator 10 equipped with: a cold head 14 provided with a pulse tube 16 and a cold storage unit 18, a low-temperature end of the pulse tube 16 being connected to a low-temperature end of the cold storage unit 18; a spool valve 32 provided with a valve driving chamber 34 and a spool 36 that moves between a first position and a second position in accordance with the pressure of the valve driving chamber 34, the spool 36 connecting a high-temperature end of the cold storage unit 18 to a compressor discharge opening 12a in the first position and connecting the high-temperature end of the cold storage unit 18 to a compressor suction opening 12b in the second position; and a pressure control mechanism 38 arranged separated from the cold head 14 and controlling the pressure of the valve driving chamber 34.
