A pump assembly and a dishwasher, the pump assembly comprising a pump casing (1) and a heater (4) located at the interior of the pump casing (1), the pump casing (1) comprising a pump cap (12), and the heater (4) comprising a heating tube body (41) and connection terminals (42) at two ends of the heating tube body (41); the pump assembly further comprises a cover component of a cover on the heating tube body (41), and outer sides of the cover component in the radial direction are buckled and connected together with the pump cap (12) so as to cover the heating tube body (41) from two sides of the heating tube body and outer sides of the heating tube body (41) in the radial direction, wherein at least one portion of the cover component is a connector (5), and the connector (5) comprises a casing part (51) that forms at least one portion of the cover component, and an insertion assembly that is disposed on the casing part (51) and that is used for connecting the heater (4) to a power supply. Hence, the heating tube body (41) may be prevented from being damaged, and safety problems may be prevented from occurring.
