Abstract:
A reading book stand constituted primarily by a base plate (1), a support plate (2), and a clamp (3). An intersecting line (9) divides the length (L) of the base plate into two parts (L1) and (L2). A reading angle (A) is no less than 90°. This is applicable for a book in which the vertical forward direction of text on pages having the text of the main text part is nearly perpendicular to the spine of the book and points toward the fore of the book that is nearly parallel to the spine of the book. In a use state, the center part of the spine of the book is arranged at where the intersecting line (9) is located, the part at where a page being read is leaned against the support plate (2), the direction of the text of the page being read points toward the clamp (3), and the clamp (3) is used to clamp the margin above the print center at the fore of the book of the part at where the page being read is located, while another part naturally falls onto the base plate (1). This effectively releases applied space for this type of books. In a folded and an unfolded use state, the thickness of the outside dimensions of the reading book stand can be as thin as 30 mm to 10 mm.
