Abstract:

A reception path trace detector (10) to be interlocked with a mis−connection determination unit (2) comprising a CPU. The detector (10) comprises (i) a specified byte extracting&sol maintaining means (11) for receiving a path signal, extracting and temporarily maintaining path information written in a specified byte (J1) in the reception path signal so as to indicate the path at a predetermined sampling timing, (ii) a comparing means (12) for detecting whether the previous path information of the specified byte maintained in the means (11) coincides with the currently received path information of the specified byte, (iii) a protecting means (13) for detecting that the coincidence has continued by a predetermined number of continuous protective stages as a result of comparison by the means (12), and (iv) when the means (13) has detected coincidence of the number of continuous protective stages, a transfer means (14) for transferring the path information maintained into the mis−connection determination unit (2) in order to determine by the mis−connection determination unit (2) whether the value indicated by the path information of the specified byte maintained in the means (11) coincides with a predetermined expectation. Thus, the processing load of the CPU is reduced.
