Abstract:
The invention concerns a cannula (101) comprising a free end (105), wherein the cannula is terminated by a free end closed on itself (106). At least at said free end (105), the cannula has an elongated cross-section. The free end (106) of the cannula is sharp over at least half its length. The cannula defines at least one outer cutting edge (114) extending laterally at one first end of the cannula cross-section, from a sharp section (111) of the free end (106). The invention is in particular useful in eye surgery.
