Abstract:
The present invention relates to a robot and a method for controlling the robot, and an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a robot body within which a battery is accommodated; two wheels which are disposed under the robot body; two leg parts which are connected between the robot body and the wheels respectively; an arm which has a one-piece structure and includes a pair of rotary coupling portions rotatably coupled to the robot body and disposed at left and right sides respectively and a connection portion connecting the pair of rotary coupling portions to each other; and a sensor part which senses an obstacle located on a travel path of the wheels and obstructing the travel of the wheels, wherein a predetermined countermotion is performed when the sensor part senses the obstacle, and the countermotion includes a rotational motion of the arm.
