A robot walking in a disc type, comprising a bottom casing (1). At least three disc type structures (2) doubling as walking wheels are provided on the bottom casing (1); the disc type structures (2) doubling as the walking wheels are obliquely disposed, and disc type structure inclination angles are formed between planes where the disc type structures doubling as the walking wheels are located and a working plane; and each disc type structure (2) rotates along the plane where the disc type structure (2) is located so as to drive the robot to walk. In the robot, the disc type structures (2) are used as walking units, and the disc type structures (2) and the working plane form the disc type structure inclination angles, such that friction is formed between the disc type structures (2) during rotation and the working plane so as to guarantee walking of the robot; meanwhile, the rotating speed of the disc type structures (2) is adjusted, such that all-directional walking of the robot can be achieved, and the walking flexibility of the robot is improved; moreover, cleaning is performed on the walking path while the robot walks in all directions, such that that the use is very convenient. Further provided is a walking control method for the robot walking in the disc type.
