Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a stator coil having welding portions closely contacting with each other and the other portions spaced from each other. This rotating electric machine stator is provided with: a plurality of segment coils including a first coil and a second coil which are disposed adjacent to each other; and a core portion having a space in which the segment coils are disposed. The segment coils each have a covered portion covered with an insulator and an exposed portion in which a conductor is exposed. The exposed portion is formed with a projection portion projecting from the side surface of the covered portion. The projection portions of the first and second coils make surface contact with each other. The covered portion of the first coil is disposed spaced from the covered portion of the second coil.
