Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a routing information transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: after receiving a first message from a first network domain, a first network device generating a second message according to the first message, wherein the first message comprises an SRv6 locator, the second message comprises the SRv6 locator and a routing metric identifier, which routing metric identifier indicates a mode of calculating a routing overhead for reaching a route corresponding to the SRv6 locator; and the first network device sending the second message to a second network device in a second network domain, wherein the second message further comprises a first routing metric value, in the first network domain, from the first network device to the route corresponding to the SRv6 locator. That is, when introducing an SRv6 locator route of a first network domain into a second network domain, a first network device adds a routing metric identifier to a generated second message, such that when calculating a routing overhead for reaching a route corresponding to an SRv6 locator, a network device in the second network domain can determine a calculation mode according to the routing metric identifier, and then obtain the routing overhead according to the determined calculation mode.
