Abstract:
Provided is a seat for vehicles, whereby: holding properties during seating are improved without the provision of more support sections than necessary in a seat cushion; and a passenger can board and alight smoothly. The seat for vehicles has: a seat cushion that forms the seat surface of the seat; a seat back that forms the backrest of the seat; and a headrest that protects the head and neck of the passenger. The seat cushion comprises: a pelvis holding section that holds the pelvis of the passenger in the rear side of the seat cushion; and thigh holding sections that hold the thighs of the passenger on the front surface side in the left and right side surfaces of the seat cushion. The seat for vehicles is characterized by the height of a seating surface on the rear side of the seat cushion being lower than the height of the thigh holding section and lower than the height of the pelvis holding section.
