Abstract:
A secondary battery (10), a battery module (20), and a manufacturing method for the secondary battery (10). The secondary battery (10) comprises: a housing (11) comprising an accommodating hole (11a) having an opening; a top cover assembly (12) sealingly connected to the housing (11) to close the opening; electrode assemblies (13) provided in the accommodating hole (11a), wherein each electrode assembly (13) comprises two end faces (13a) arranged opposite to each other in a first direction (Y) perpendicular to the axial direction (X) of the accommodating hole (11a) and a tab (13b) extending from each end face (13a), there are two or more groups of electrode assemblies (13), and the two or more groups of electrode assemblies (13) are stacked in the axial direction (X); and current collectors (14) each comprising an extension portion (141) and current collecting portions (142) connected and fixed to the tabs (13b), wherein the extension portion (141) extends in the axial direction (X), the current collecting portions (142) have connecting ends (142a) extending in a second direction (Z) perpendicular to the axial direction (X) and the first direction (Y), and the current collecting portions (142) are connected to the end of the extension portion (141) distant from the top cover assembly (12) by means of the connecting ends (142a). The extension portions (141) and the current collecting portions (142) of the current collectors (14) have a low space occupancy rate in the axial direction (X) of the accommodating hole (11a) of the housing (11), thereby helping to improve the energy density of the secondary battery (10).
