Abstract:
A secondary cell (10), a cell module (20), and a manufacturing method for the secondary cell (10). The secondary cell (10) comprises: a housing (11) comprising a bottom plate (111) and a side plate (112) connected to the bottom plate (111), wherein the bottom plate (111) and the side plate (112) form an accommodation hole (11a) and an opening communicating with the accommodation hole (11a), the opening and the bottom plate (11) are disposed opposite to each other in an axial direction of the accommodation hole (11a), and a thickness of the bottom plate (111) is greater than a thickness of the side plate (112); a top cover component (13) sealingly connected to the side plate (112) to cover the opening; and an electrode assembly (12) disposed in the accommodation hole (11a) and comprising two or more electrode units (121), wherein each electrode unit (121) is formed by a first electrode plate (12a), a second electrode plate (12b) and a separator (12c) wound together and has a broad surface (121a) and a narrow surface (121b), the two or more electrode units are stacked in the axial direction, the broad surface (121a) of each electrode unit (121) is disposed corresponding to the bottom plate (111), and the narrow surface (121b) of each electrode unit (121) faces the side plate (112). The secondary cell (10) has little or no swelling in a thickness direction thereof, thereby lowering the requirement for rigidity and strength of external fixing members when secondary cells (10) are grouped together to form the cell module (20), and facilitating an increase in energy density.
