Abstract:
This invention implements countermeasures for asset vulnerabilities without affecting monitoring-and-control processing or the availability of a control system. This invention is a control system that performs monitoring and control for field devices (3). From information regarding the configuration of said control system, information regarding assets constituting said system, and information regarding vulnerabilities in said assets, this invention identifies assets that need security countermeasures and also identifies a priority order for said countermeasures. Before implementing said security countermeasures for said assets, this invention performs a test to determine the behavior that will result with said security countermeasures implemented, and the decision as to whether or not to implement said security countermeasures is made on the basis of the results of said test. If the test encounters no problems, the security countermeasures for the assets are implemented in the abovementioned priority order.
