Abstract:
The semiconductor device (1) pertaining to the present invention is provided with: a first electrode (G(g1)) formed on a substrate (B); a first insulating film (GI) for covering the first electrode (g1); a semiconductor film (SF) having a channel region (CH) and being formed on the first insulating film (GI) such that when viewed in planar view, an end section (SF1) overlaps the first electrode (g1) in a state projecting farther outward than the first electrode (g1); an etching stopper film (ES) comprising an insulating film formed across the first insulating film (GI) and the semiconductor film (SF) so as to cover the channel region (CH), and including, when viewed in planar view, an opening part (H(hd)) in which the end section (SF1) of the semiconductor film (SF) is accommodated and the surface of the semiconductor film (SF) adjacent to the channel region (CH) is exposed; and a second electrode (S(s3)) layered on the semiconductor film (SF) so as to cover the surface of the semiconductor film (SF) exposed by the opening part (H(hd)).
